ABOUT NICOLE PHILLIPS, LICSW

More than 20 years of experience.

There are a lot of reasons people end up in therapy. Sometimes you know exactly what's wrong. Sometimes you've been dealing with the same thing for years. And sometimes you just know something needs to change.

HOW I WORK

I’m not going to make you do all the work in the room.

I'm Nicole Phillips, an independently licensed clinical social worker who has spent more than two decades helping adults and couples understand what's getting in the way and figure out what to do differently.

I want therapy to feel comfortable enough that you can be honest- including about the messy, complicated, or difficult-to-say-out-loud stuff.

But I'm also an active therapist. I ask questions, offer perspective, make connections, and point out patterns when I think there's something worth looking at.

After more than 20 years of doing this work, I've learned that no single approach works for everyone.

AN INTEGRATIVE APPROACH TO THERAPY

The approach should fit you. Not the other way around.

My work is integrative, strength-based, person-centered, and focused on the goals that matter to you.

Depending on what you need, our work may draw from:

  • CBT

  • Motivational Interviewing

  • Solution-focused and Trauma-informed therapy,

  • Relational and family systems approaches

  • IFS

  • Mindfulness

  • Gottman-Informed couples work.

That's a long list of therapy words. What it means in practice is pretty simple: we'll figure out what actually helps you.

IN-PERSON IN GRAFTON + VIRTUAL ACROSS MASSACHUSETTS

Finding the right therapist matters.

Experience matters. So does feeling like you can actually talk to the person sitting across from you.

That's why I offer a free 15-minute consultation. Tell me a little about what's going on, ask whatever you want to know, and get a feel for whether working together makes sense.

No perfectly rehearsed explanation required.
